Redesign: New York Transit Museum
The Museum I redesigned is New York's trolleys and buses. The primary purpose of the exhibition is to let audiences know about the development of New York's ground public transportation. For my experience of visiting there, I think the content of the development timeline is exciting and needs to be kept in my design. But I think the whole space is kind of hard for audiences to figure out which part is what. Also, during my visit, there were a lot of parents with their kids, and the space is kind becomes the playground of kids. Big Idea I want to separate the exhibition and social areas. The whole space is designed as the scene that you are waiting in the bus station. Exhibition move the exhibition part into the two actual size buses and trolleys, so audiences can learn the history and experience the actual development.
